Our Mission, Vision, and Values

Mission Statement

The purpose of Interwoven Congregations, Inc. is to organize and support partnerships between diverse faith communities in order to foster racial justice and healing in the United States.

Vision Statement

Building and nurturing partnerships between congregations of different ethnic backgrounds will, by the grace of God, enable these faith communities to begin the process of dismantling racism at both the interpersonal and systemic levels of society.

Values

All people are cherished children of God.

We are called by God to love one another and seek justice.

Opposing racism sets both the victim and the oppressor free.

The Beloved Community is one in which diversity is prized, not just tolerated.

Communities of faith are called to be agents of racial justice and healing.
